This is such a seemingly simple thing but it could have a tremendous impact on our country.

A. Pray for America for One Minute Every Night

Do you believe we can take God at His word, call upon His name, then stand back and watch His wonders unfold?

I challenge you to join in praying for our Nation. We have never been more desperate than now for God to heal our land.
2 Chronicles 7:14. “If my people, which are called by my name shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
During WWII, there was an adviser to Churchill, who organized a group of people who dropped what they were doing every night at a prescribed hour for one minute, to collectively pray for the safety of England , its people and peace. This had an amazing effect, as bombing stopped. There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in America . The United States of America , and our citizens, need prayer more than ever!!!

If you would like to participate, each evening at 9:00 P.M. Eastern Time (8 PM Central, 7 PM Mountain, 6 PM Pacific), stop whatever you’re doing, and spend one minute praying for the safety of the United States, our troops, our citizens, for peace in the world, that the Bible will remain the basis for the laws governing our land, and that God’s Word will grow and spread in the U.S. If you know anyone who would like to participate, please pass this along.

B. Pray for Abortion Clinic Workers

Find out the name of an abortionist near where you live, and commit to pray for them daily to have a change of heart.

Or if you can’t find out the name of a worker, then find out the name of an abortion clinic/Planned Parenthood clinic near where you live and just begin praying for the people who work there even if you don’t know their names. C. Pray Outside Abortion/Planned Parenthood Clinics

Find out where the closest abortion clinic is to where you live (keep in mind that hospitals sometimes do abortions) and hold a peaceful prayer vigil outside the clinic, and get others to join you. You can find out where abortion clinics are at http://www.gynpages.com/, or to find the nearest Planned Parenthood you can go to their website at http://www.plannedparenthood.org/.

You can also participate in 40 Days For Life.

Join in the 40 days of praying and fasting (it can be from anything like sodas, etc) and asking God for abortion to end in America, by holding silent prayer vigils outside abortion clinics in your area. 40 Days for life takes place twice a year, once in the Spring and once in the Fall. D. National Day of Prayer

Please join in the National Day of Prayer each year in May. Praying for our Nation, praying for the Lord to bless our leaders with wisdom and protection, and that we will have the fortitude to overcome the challenges at hand.

2. Support Pregnancy Care Centers 

They will see and help people who will never walk through the doors of a Church.

• Pray for them
• Collect your spare change (maybe for a month) and donate it to the Pregnancy Center, and get others to join you (eg. your friends, church, Sunday School class).
• Go to yard sales, or Goodwill stores and buy baby clothes and items to donate to the Pregnancy Center.
• Volunteer at your local Pregnancy Center; you can sort, mend and wash baby and maternity clothes or help get newsletters and mailings out. Or Help with office duties.
• BE A COUNSELOR
• Have a baby shower to benefit the Pregnancy Center or man pro-life tables at county and state fairs.
• Participate in their Walk For Life and get others to join you.
• Coordinate volunteers for any of the above.

3. Pro-Life Groups

4. Life Chain

Organize a life chain in your area. Find somewhere in your city that is publicly visible and get others to join you in the Life Chain (most Life Chains are in October). A Life Chain is when a group of people stand in a line near a highway or major road holding pro-life signs and peacefully praying for an end to abortion in America, while at the same time raising awareness. You can also join in the March for Life in Washington D.C. every year on the anniversary of Roe V. Wade, or if you can’t make it to D.C. hold one in your own city. 5. Invite a Pro-Life Speaker

Arrange for a pro-life speaker to come share at your Church, School, Club, Civic Group, etc.

6. Educate Others

Educate others on the Truth about abortion. The only way we are going to see abortion end in America is when we see a change in people’s hearts, and one way to see that happen is through raising awareness and educating people about abortion, because many people are unaware.

The CDC reports that abortions are down 5% in America, and Focus on the Family did a study to find out why they are down. They found out 3 things that have been the biggest contributors to the drop in abortions: #1 Educating people on abortion, #2 Pro-Life laws being passed, and #3 Offering people an alternative (Pregnancy Care Centers).

A. Expose Planned Parenthood

B. Spread the Pro-Life Message Using Literature

Passing out literature is one of the easiest and yet, one of the most effective things you can do.  You can pass out literature as you go about your daily routine: Leave it in waiting rooms, restaurants, bathrooms, lobbies, airports, Laundromats, and clothes you try on at a clothes store that you don’t buy, etc. If you’re a student, you can hand out pro-life literature at your school, and if not a student, you can give pro-life literature to a student you know so they can hand it out at their school.

C. Share Pro-Life Videos

Show a pro-life video to people you know who support abortion, show it at your church, show it to your Sunday school class, or to your youth group, or if you can at your school, etc. The 180 Movie is a great movie to share! (http://www.180movie.com/). Also, www.abort73.com has some excellent videos, and the Hard Truth is another excellent video that you can find on Youtube (beware that some may be graphic).

D. Other Ways to Raise Awareness:

• Wearing a “Precious Feet” Pin: wear it every day, everywhere you go, and when people ask you about it, share with them about the humanity of the unborn.
• Put a Pro-life bumper sticker on each of your cars, and/or on your laptop, guitar case, etc.
• Use Pro-life checks
• Put Pro-life stickers on all your outgoing mail
• Include a piece of Pro-life literature in all your outgoing mail

7. Change Laws; Impact Government

A. Vote LIFE

B. Support Personhood Amendments

Currently two states are trying to get Personhood Amendments, those two states are Colorado and North Dakota. The Personhood Amendments would define the unborn child as a person, thus giving them the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and could help lead the way to outlawing abortion in America. http://www.personhoodusa.com/

C. Write Letters to Your Senators/Representatives

When pro-life legislation comes up in your area, write your Senators and Representatives and ask them to support life. The letters don’t have to be long, simply tell them your position and how you would like them to vote. D. Start a Phone Chain

Create a circle of like-minded friends and start a phone chain. Any time pro-life legislation comes up in your area, start calling and urging them to contact your legislators. 8. Care for all People

Having a consistent pro-life ethic means more than just caring about unborn children, it means caring for all people, throughout all stages of their life, from conception to natural death. Some ways you can do this is by:

A. Care for Children

You can do this in many ways, a few examples are:

• Child Sponsorship: sponsor a child who lives in a poor country where their parents do not even make enough money to provide simple things like food and clean water for their children, and the children are in danger of being forced into slavery or child labor. A few great organizations to sponsor a child through are  Children’s Hunger Fund, Compassion International, and Gospel for Asia. As well as CB Deaf Ministry who specifically sponsor Deaf children all over the world.
• Foster Care: become a foster care parent and care for children who may not be available for adoption, but are in need of a family just the same. http://www.adopting.org/adoptions/becoming-a-foster-parent-2.html
• Adoption: Adoption is a wonderful alternative to abortion for women who are not realistically in a position to care for a child. B. Care for Elderly

Visit elderly people who are in the hospital, who live in nursing homes, or who are homebound. Just take some time out of your week to go and sit down and talk with them.

C. Care for the Sick

Visit people who are sick at home or in the hospital.

D. Care for the Poor

Volunteer at your local Homeless Shelter or Soup Kitchen. Donate items to your local Food Pantry or Salvation Army.
