Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity.
1 Timothy 4:12
It is your generation that has the potential to “slay the Goliath” of abortion in America. What are you doing to take a stand for life?
Here are some things you can do to stand for life in your schools, in your churches, among your friends and family, and in your community.
1. Pray
Prayer is the number 1, most important thing you can do to stand for life, because prayer moves the hand of God and only God can changes the heart’s of people back to their children. You can get a group together, or pray by yourself, every morning at the flagpole at your school before classes start or at the end of each school day. Especially on See You at The Pole day, which is usually in September. (http://syatp.com/)
You can also get a group together to hold Silent Sieges. What is a Silent Siege? “A Silent Siege is a stand in silent prayer on behalf of the nation that is murdering its children. We are standing in agreement with Jesus, the Great Intercessor, concerning the holocaust of abortion. We believe the Life Tape is a divine strategy from the Lord to both mobilize a massive movement of prayer and also to be a faithful witness to the nation.” To find out more click the photo link on the left.
2. Wear a Pro-Life T-Shirt
One of the simplest things you can do to stand for life and spread the Pro-Life message is to wear a pro-life t-shirt. Abort73 has some of the best pro-life t-shirts and gear, because their products do not use generic slogans, instead they point people to their website, which has a wealth of information to educate people on abortion. To check out their website click the photo link on the left. Some other websites out there that have great pro-life gear are: Rock for Life, Bound4Life, and Stand True. You have many options to choose from when it comes to pro-life gear: shirts, hoodies, bags, bumper stickers, bracelets, etc. There are also free things you can download like desktop backgrounds and web graphic for your social media pages.
3. Give Pro-Life Speeches;Write Pro-Life Reports/Papers for School
Turn any homework assignment you can into an opportunity to educate your peers and professors at school about the truth of abortion. A great resource for researching for an assignment is Abort73 or Rock for Life
4. Hand out Pro-Life Literature to Your Classmates
You can hand out Pro-Life literature to your classmates before and after your classes, during lunch, and before and after school. This is a great way to raise awareness about abortion and to educate people on the truth about abortion. Abort73 has some great Pro-Life literature.
5. Use Social Media to spread the Pro-Life Message
Today most people have at least one form of Social Media that they use (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+, Blogs, etc.), and you can take advantage of these outlets to take a stand for LIFE. You can follow various Pro-Life groups like Choose Life Ministries, Students for Life, White Rose Project, 180 Movie, Live Action, Abort 73, Bound for Life, 40 Days for Life, Stand True, Rock for Life, Life News, Life without Limits, Come on Lets Go, and Abby Johnson. You can repost what these various organizations share on Facebook to help them spread the pro-life message. You can write your own pro-life posts and blogs to share. You can post pro-life web graphics on your social media. Abort73 has some great graphics.
6. Support Your Local Pregnancy Care Center
Pregnancy Care Centers are a great help to women facing an unplanned pregnancy. You can help your local Pregnancy Care Center by volunteering at the Center, by participating and getting others to participate in their Walk for Life they hold every year to raise funds for the Center, by holding a baby item drive for them, or by asking your friends to fill up baby bottles with spare change to donate to them. To find the closest Pregnancy Care Center to you and find out how you can help them visit Heartbeat International’s website, or Care Net.
7. Participate in one of the many Pro-Life Events held across the Nation every year
Some of these events include:
-
March for Life: In January of every year, hundreds of thousands of people travel to our Nation’s Capital to march on the streets of DC and take a stand for LIFE. Will you join them? Even if you can’t make it to DC, you can still hold a March for Life in your hometown or state by getting a group together to march around your city’s courthouse, or your state’s capitol building. To find out more visit http://marchforlife.org/

National Life Chain Sunday: On the first Sunday in October of every year you can rally your friends or youth group together to hold a Life Chain near a busy highway in your hometown. On Life Chain Sunday every year, pro-life people across America stand in a line near a busy highway hold pro-life signs to take a stand for LIFE and to raise awareness about abortion. Pro-Life Day of Silent Solidarity: Can you lose your voice for one day for the millions of unborn babies who will never have a voice? Every year in October, many people willingly choose to lose their voice, by not speaking for a whole day, and wear red tape that says LIFE in order to stand up for the unborn who cannot stand up for themselves. They carry print-outs that explain why they have chosen to be silent. Will join them and take a stand for the 4,000 unborn babies who die everyday in this Nation, and for the more than 4,000 women and men wounded by abortion everyday?
