lf you’ve ever taken a pre-dawn walk on a cloudless morning you have seen the sky changefrom a dark. deep hue to a lighter and brighter shade as sunrise approaches. The Bible speaks at length about the contrast of light and darkness. In the abortion industry darkness prevails,but slowly we are seeing the light of truth break through that darkness. A recent startling report came through Live Action as they have uncovered the shockingdetails of several Planned Parenthood clinics in the Eastern states. Lila Rose, president ofLive Action, has uncovered details of PP covering up sexual abuse, aiding and abetting statutory rape., minor prostitution, human trafficking, racketeering, and other crimes. These findings will hopefully lead to the defunding of Planned Parenthood as the darkness this industry operates in is brought to the light.Another upsetting story recently in the news was that of a Pennsylvania Abortion doctor who has been charged with eight counts of murder in the deaths of a patient and seven babies who were born alive and then killed. State regulators ignored complaints about him and failed to visit or inspect his clinic since 1993.As the light of truth dawns in this one clinic, hopefully we will see more darkness exposed to the light all across this nation, and people will begin to ‘wake up’ to the reality ofthe darkness in the abortion industry.We need to repent: as individuals, as churches and as a nation. 2 Corinthians 1 0:4 tells us,“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.’ Many commentaries explain that these weapons are: the Bible, the gifts of the Spirit, and earnest prayer, and these weapons are mighty through God. We are in a battle.,and most ofthe time we are struggling because we are so internally focused and controlled bythe flesh. We need to shift our focus upward to God and our savior Jesus Christ, and outwardto those around us; Being diligent in bible study, fervent in prayer. and using our spiritual giftedness as God empowers us.
