A MESSAGE FOR THE CHURCH
THE CALL:
To the church in AMERICA: “knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.” (Romans 13:11-12)
“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live. (Deuteronomy 30:19)
“And [God] said, “What hast thou done? The voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground,” (Genesis 4:10).
“But thine eyes and thine heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for to shed innocent blood , and for oppression, and for violence, to do it,” (Jeremiah 22:17).
“And (you) shed innocent blood, even the blood of (your) sons and of (your) daughters, (whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan): and the land was (is) polluted with blood.” (Psalm 106:38)
“Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place.” (Jeremiah 22:3)
“Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies,
Your tongue has muttered perversity. No one calls for justice, nor does any plead for truth. They trust in empty words and speak lies; They conceive evil and bring forth iniquity… Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood; Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths. The way of peace they have not known, and there is no justice in their ways; They have made themselves crooked paths; whoever takes that way shall not know peace.” (Isaiah 59:1-8)
“The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.” (Proverbs 15:3)
“If you forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and 
those that are ready to be slain; if you say, behold, we did not know; does not He who ponders the hearts consider it? And He who keeps the soul, does He not know it? And shall He not render to every man according to His works?” (Proverbs 24:11-12)
America, it is high time to awake out of sleep. The Church needs to rise up, cast off the works of darkness, put on the armor of light and be the light she was called to be. The church is no longer being salt and light to the culture. The increasingly secularized culture is contaminating the salt, conforming the church to the world and its way of thinking and thus dimming the light.
2 Chronicles 7:14. “If My people, who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins and heal their land.”
Isaiah 1:15-17. “And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you; yea, when you make many prayers, I will not hear; your hands are full of blood. Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from mine eyes; cease to do evil; learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.”
Isaiah 1:26. “And I will restore thy judges as at the
first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning; and afterward thou shalt be called, the city of righteousness, the faithful city.”
1 John 1:9. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
Luke 1:17. “And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”
One of the foundational truths of God’s Word that has been forgotten is the “Sanctity of Human Life ‘. Man is the crown of God’s creation and each and every person created has value. They have a right to be born. They have a right to live.
God loved every person ever created so much that He sent His only begotten Son that whosoever would believe in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)
Also I heard the voice of the Lord saying, whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then I said, here am I, send me. (Isaiah 6:8)
God has burdened us and called us to go. Choose Life Ministries desires to take the message of the Sanctity of 
Human Life to the nation of America; beginning at the church. And then to the world.
It is easy to see where the culture of death that began in 1973, with the legalization of abortion, has brought us to in the case of Terry Schiavo.
In response to Terri’s death, President Bush said, “I urge all those who honor Terri Schiavo to continue to work to build a culture of life, where all Americans are welcomed and valued and protected, especially those who live at the mercy of others. The essence of civilization is that the strong have a duty to protect the weak. In cases where there are serious doubts and questions, the presumption should be in the favor of life.”
